3 WAYS TO GET GIFT-ORGANISED FOR THE END OF THE YEAR

Not to alarm you, but there are only 13 Fridays till Christmas! This may excite some and terrify others. 2020 has been a mixed bag for us all and many of us are thinking “where has the time gone?” or “How is it almost October?”

It's hard to predict how the end of the year will play out and how COVID will affect our plans. Our advice would be to sit back with a cuppa and read out 3 tips to get organised before Christmas.

We have noticed a small flow of Christmas orders coming through and this has promoted us to pop out some reminders about early bird shopping, avoiding over-crowded shops and also possible postal delays.

1. Create a Christmas Shopping Plan

Make a list of everyone you need to buy for, prioritise these people and make a note if they are located in a different state or country. This will affect when you plan to shop for them. If It's looking unlikely that you will be able to visit family interstate, having these gifts ready to post before the rush is recommended.

Take advantage of early bird Christmas sales and major sales events such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday which will take place on 27/11 and 30/11, and even purchase a couple of Christmas things each week so It's not all left to buy at once. This goes for festive food and beverages, decorations and gift-wrapping supplies.

2. Communicate with family and have a backup option

If you have a plan for a family gathering, ensure that it adheres to COVID restrictions and ensure everyone is on the same page. Create a back up plan just in case restrictions tighten or ease. Unfortunately, the unpredictability of this pandemic will result in many last-minute changes or change of plans.

3. One-stop shops

If you’re choosing to do your Christmas shopping online (or you have little choice due to lockdown restrictions), one thing that can make your life a little easier is to keep an eye out for websites that have a gift options that cater for all family and friends. This can reduce the postage cost and all communication is conducted on the one order.

Not only are many shopping for their friends and families, but many are also shopping for Teacher thank you gifts and corporate gifts for the staff and clients.

We hope that the rest of the year is less stressful for everyone! x
